How can I help Lawton Community Theatre as a volunteer?

At LCT we love involving the whole community in all of our productions. The best way for us to do this is by asking for volunteers to help us with all aspects of the theater and its shows. Volunteers are greatly appreciated!!

Ushers: Volunteering as an usher requires a one-night commitment on the night of the show to help our patrons find their seats in the theatre, and to distribute programs. Ushers receive a free ticket to the show.

Street Team: We are looking for a team of volunteers willing to go around and hang up posters for our shows and pass them out to local Lawton businesses and public spaces. LCT administration will work with you to discuss the organization of circulation and specific roles.

Social Media Enthusiasts: Do you find yourself mindlessly scrolling through social media sites everyday? If so, we could use your help simply by liking and sharing our Facebook and Twitter posts as we submit them. In addition, we are looking for individuals to help us expand our email list by forwarding all of our community emails. All of the content will be created by our staff, we just need you to spread the word and let us know how were doing!

We are always looking for volunteers to help us with set construction to include painting, carpentry, cleaning, etc. No experience necessary!! We’ll announce Work Days during the production via social media and through email blasts; be sure to sign up for notifications. Work Days are typically from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays, and we’ll provide lunch!

We can’t run a show without a great volunteer crew backstage. We always are in need of crew to move and set scenery and props; to run lights, sound, or follow spots. We also from time to time need dressers to help with fast costume changes. No experience necessary.

If any of these opportunities interest you and you want to help out with the theatre and the community, please contact us at: (580) 355-1600
